The Department of Theology and Religious Studies at St. John’s University in New York is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Roman Catholic Moral Theology. The applicant will be expected to teach the undergraduate introductory course in theology as well as courses in moral theology of healthcare, and other areas of moral theology as needed in both the undergraduate and graduate programs. The ideal candidate will possess a terminal degree in moral theology by the time of the hire, demonstrate potential for publication in refereed journals, exhibit a strong interest in and concern for quality teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and be committed to St. John’s mission as a Roman Catholic and Vincentian university. St. John’s University has three New York City campuses. Priority will be given to applications received by January 15, 2012.
