Employment - Christ College, Valparaiso University: Honors College Faculty Position

Christ College, the interdisciplinary honors college of Valparaiso University, invites applications for a tenure-track position in literature, philosophy, or ethics at the assistant or associate level, beginning August 2012. Candidates in world literature or area studies are especially encouraged to apply. Ph.D. must be completed by December, 2011. Candidates must have experience teaching undergraduate courses and writing.The appointee will team-teach interdisciplinary core courses as well as seminars in specialty. Classes (3 courses/semester) consist of approximately 15 gifted students committed to learning in a unique community of inquiry. All faculty appointments are exclusive to the honors college.

The successful candidate will demonstrate commitment to both undergraduate teaching and an active research agenda; enthusiasm for interdisciplinary studies; and interest in working at a university engaged in issues in Christian higher education in the Lutheran tradition.
