New Interest Group

New Interest Group: The location of the 2010 annual meeting in the heart of the silicon valley turned our attention to an emerging area of ethics: technology. In response, members have created the new Technology Ethics Interest Group. The group hopes to provide a location for ongoing examination of ethical issues created by new technologies and exploration of ways in which distinctively Christian perspectives can contribute to public discourse on technological development and its effects. Special attention will be paid to issues in communication and information technologies.  But in January, the Interest Group session will examine the most important technology event of the year, the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. The TEIG invites you to come for a robust discussion of this significant event.
