For Everyone: A Dance Performance
Money, money, money….most of us understand how to manage personal income and expenses, but very few of us understand monetary policy and the way that it affects every aspect of our lives. On Saturday, January 9th, 7:30-7:45pm, The Destiny Arts Youth Performance Company will present a performance that explores the mysteries of current monetary policy and the potential for phenomenal social change if the system is modified. The piece promises to provide opportunity for lively discussion, reflection and action.
The Destiny Arts Youth Performance Company (DAYPC) is a multicultural group of teens who create original performance art pieces that combine hip-hop, modern, and aerial dance, martial arts, theater, spoken word, song and rap. The productions are a forum for the young people to express their fears, hopes and strategies for confronting challenging personal and social issues, and for educating, inspiring and entertaining their audiences. The company has performed since 1993 for thousands of youth and adult audience members annually at conferences, festivals, schools, and professional self-produced theatrical events. The company's signature combination of performing art, personal storytelling, and social commentary has made them a favorite with audiences everywhere.
